I have read a lot answers on this subject, so I am not sure myself. I have met a wonderful lady that lives in the same state as me, but she lives about 200miles away. We talk everyday, she calls me in the morning, and I call her in the evening. We have talked about everything we can think of, and we meet when we can. So even with all this comunatcation has anyone seen this work, or is there something more I should be thinking about?

I am in the excact situation. My Bf lives in the same state and live about 200 miles away. Is this my BF lol?
Well anyway, it is working out great for us. We text all day long, we talk on the phone and see eachother every other weekend.
We have been together almost a year and a half, and we are now making plans to move near eachother. We know eachother really well, because most of the time we can only talk.
Which to me could be a good thing, because not only are we dating, we are friends. It can work, as long as you keep eachother informed about eachother lives. Do things to keep it interesting and have great communication. If you do not do those things, then it might not work.
Plan trips to see eachother as often as you can, and make every trip about spending time together. I have never had a better relationship and I cant wait to be closer to him.
Good luck.

mabye right now it's better to keep your options open...try and date and get to know other people but keep talking to this person. If you get to a point where you want more commitment or think she is that special then try something long distance. Long distance can have a lot of pressure and you have to always keep in mind you're together because fundamentally you're friends and care for each other. Don't let the stress get to you if you decide to enter in one. gl
