at a party some one said the word niger 1 time and a few of the people diden't like it....i asked if a black person said it would it be o.k. and they said thats different i want to know why ....if you are ever around black people they say it all the time

There are no correct answers to your question. But lets put it this way: If you are slim and trim and all your friends are obese, you wouldn't dare call them fat. They might, however, call each other fat *** and that's alright.

it is never proper to call someone a ******. some black people call their friends that term, but not many. it is a term to degrade a person of color. the term ****** refers to the country of Nigers in Africa where a lot of slaves came from. the words ****** ****, white trash. etc. are just plain rude! if someone uses these remarks at a mixed gathering they are seen as a bigot. it is polite not to show bigotry in public. i know i don't want to hear these remarks, when i am at a party!!

if a black person says '******' than it's ok because they say it as a term of 'brotherhood'. If a white person says it, they are being racist. It's just one of those double standards things that are annoying, but you don't want to mess with cos it'll get nasty.

It's like when schoolgirls started calling each other ho. I don't like either one of them. It makes them feel tough or something like when people swear.
