Put your personal feelings about politicians aside and not paint the troops with those feelings you have toward politicians. the troops are doing their job, and whether they agree with it or not, it is the job that they have to do. Having someone tell them how wrong they are is not making their job easier.
You can also send things for the troops via the red cross. That helps with morale over there. Another thing that helps the troops, that most people don't think about is helping those that the troops left behind. If a solider has left his family, he is worrying about them, but if he knows that they are getting help from friends, neighbors, church group or civic group they can worry less about their family needing help and concentrate on their job their.

In relation to troops from the U.K. Serving in Iraq and Afghanistan .The British Government needs to support and
supply them with the proper tools for the job .
Lack of proper equipment in Iraq not enough men and
Helicopters in Afghanistan .There is is no excuse acceptable for these shortages I only hope the American Forces do get supplied with the necessary kit .
Both the Americans and British forces are doing a very
difficult job and they should have the proper backing
from their Governments .

Pray for their safety. Also, avoid patronizing or supporting those who do NOT support our troops, e.g., people like Michael Moore, Sean Penn, Harry Reid, etc. Michael Moore actually cheered on the insurgents against our troops on his website a couple of years ago. Disgusting.

like one said send a care package, get a scout troop or class room to pen pal them positive wishes. one i feel strong about is support them by helping their families still home too. so that the soldiers knows his family is being care for emotionally. less stress on a soldiers family life at home helps the stress level while fighting.
great question

I'm not in support of the war...however, I believe that they will need support when they come back to ease back into regular life. In the meantime, I think they would appreciate knowing that their families are being supported too.

Impeach Bush, pull out of Iraq and stop sending them on politically motivated and unwarranted invasions of other countries. Our troops are supposed to protect out country not go out and conquer random countries.
