Does Orbit White Gum really whiten your teeth and remove stains or is that just a clever marketing ploy? I see on the box that it has some text in bold under the ingredients section Phenylketonurics: Contains Phenylalanine. Could that be the *magic* teeth whitener?

It didn't work for my wife.

Before an important interview she wanted to make her teeth all white so she could have an impressive smile...in the end we used Tippex (paper correction fluid)!

I recently heard something on Good Morning America that said that all whitening gums are ineffective. A lot of products have that written on the package about phenylalnine...don't know what it is exactly but not a whitener.

I don't know about you but I never chew gum with my front teeth, thus not exposing them to the whitening claims. Perhaps if I rubbed the gum on the surface of my front teeth, but I highly doubt it.

I do however know for a fact due to my own experimentation that the "crest white strips" work. I used them only on my upper teeth and left the bottoms alone to see if I could see a difference within one month...and holycrap batman... I did see a difference !! I will stick to this more expensive way of whitening for you do get what you paid for ! Keep Smiling : )

Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.

Check out this site: http://www.naturalwhiteteeth.net - It's about how you can whiten your teeth 100% naturally. Same results but 100% safe and 1000 times cheaper.

You guess it. It's a marketing ploy. Phenylalanine is just Aspartame, the artificial sweetener.

I have had an experiment with this and saw that orbit does really whiten your teeth. It s a very VERY long process but it does. Definitely not in one chew. In like 30

doubt it, unless it contains white paint no chewing gum is going to make your teeth whiter, and for sure its not orbit.

Those teeth whitening ads are just total lies. But, don't eat anything w/ aspartame cause it causes nerve disorders and cancer.
