Navy Boot Camp Question Women Only....?

Question

Women how wierd is it when you are on your cycle (period) and you have to swim? How wierd is it when you are on your cylce and you can't go to the bathroom when you want? Just curious!

Helo pilot thanks for your answer, but I'm joining the Navy so that means another lady will be in the Navy how does that make you feel? Mad?

I'm not sure of a answer for you. But they say most women don't have to worry about their cycle. Because you will be doing so much excersice that it stops. Best advise know your cyle days going in so you are prepared. My recruiter told me that there will be plunty of time to take care of those issues. I leave for boot in 4 days for the coast guard. I was thinking of this too.

Well, if you gots to go you gotta freaking go-tell them it's personal! Now, you can take some type of pill, and it will help halt the cycle for a couple of weeks. But, if your sol, then use a tampon, and I usually take Pepto-bismal-cause it's not a great feeling when the urges kick in! Usually though, water retains the cycle-so you shouldn't bleed a lot-I mean, have you noticed when your taking a shower it stops?

Tampons baby, tampons. Take it from a female vet get used to preparing ahead, in civilian life and at work you can not just stop and go whenever you want well......... the same goes for the military. They will excuse a woman to change her plug. Swimming with a tampon is just like swimming without one.

Never thought of that! I'll be interested to see what the answer is and how it is addressed. I only know about Marines boot camp from a male view. I guess that is why some think women shouldn't be in combat.
