Try Oasis mouthwash. It works great. You can get it at Wal-Mart. It says it's "a moisturizing mouthwash for a dry mouth".

Good luck!

Here is what I tell my patients who has dry mouth or dry gums:

1. Take frequent sips of water or drinks without sugar. Pause often while speaking to sip some liquid. Avoid coffee, tea and soft drinks
2. Keep a glass of water by your bed for dryness during the night or upon awakening
3. Chew sugarless gum - the chewing may produce more saliva
4. Avoid tobacco and alcohol. Avoid mouthwash that contains alcohol.
5. Breathing through your nose, not your mouth, as much as possible

If your doctor believes medication to be the cause, he or she may adjust your dosage or switch you to another medication that doesn't cause a dry mouth. Your doctor may also consider prescribing pilocarpine (Salagen) or cevimeline (Evoxac) to stimulate saliva production.

If your mouth is dry ther is usually a reason. Often, it is related to medications. From an over the counter standpoint, the best product is Biotene. They make several products to help dry mouth...rinses, gum, toothpaste, etc.. Good luck.

Mouth ulcers, aka canker sores, can be caused by cuts in the mouth that get infected and by stomach problems. If you have stomach issues, see your doctor about them. Rinse twice a day with warm salty water. Brush at least twice a day and use mouth wash. You can also use Anbesol or the like to reduce the pain and help heal the sores.

Drink plenty of water. If the condition persists, see your doctor rather than seeking medical advice from a bunch of yahoos
