My boyfriend locked my cat in the closet!! Accidentally. She loves to sneak in open doors and especially the closets where she'll hide behind the sweeper/behind boxes etc. My hubby was getting his jacket out of the closet and in his hurry, didn't notice she had snuck in, so when he shut the door, she got locked in for 4 hrs. I came home from work and couldn't find her, panicked, and then heard her meows from the closet. Poor thing, she couldn't wait to get to the litter box. (thankfully she DID wait;-) Anyway, he felt really bad about it and while she hasn't given it a second thought, I need some really good stories to make him feel better........

ugh, the ONE time I ask a perfectly harmless innocent question and some jack-off's can't read, or read too much into it...... my hubby IS my boyfriend (saying bf sounds very juvenile so I stick w/ hubby, would you like me to say my "life partner" next time?) It was a closet... airconditioned.. in our house... she wasn't in any life threatening danger.... what is WRONG with people. To those who have responded nicely and have READ the question... thank you! To the other idiots who can't read and are insisting on wasting my time.... COULD YOU AT LEAST MAKE YOUR RESPONSES FUNNY?! This is why I love my cat and hate people ;-) j/k

My daughter put our cat in the washing machine. Luckily it was only for a minute or so and the machine wasn't turned on. I gave her such a row but it was quite funny, I just saw the cat's little face looking at me through the glass door.
She also tried to give the cat a bubble bath which, as you can imagine, the cat just loved! Not.
Thankfully she grew out of tormenting the poor cat and the cat has a lovely carefree life now.

Had a cat Purissa. Every time she did something wrong. When you started to yell at her she would turn walk toward you and meow as if to say lets play.
Same cat would also while watching TV. If you were eating something she wanted. She would sit quietly for the right time. Run by snatch your food and disappear. Did this all the time. (Steak, chicken etc.) Was not funny then but I can laugh now.
Same cat would also bring insects and mice in the house to share her meals with us.
Purissa was overall a good cat. Had her 18 years. Birth to death.

We took a homeless cat into our lives. She never would come indoors but we built a shelter for her outside and kept her fed. One day she had kittens but she had them in a garage several streets away. They didn't know that they had kittens in their garage and when she left to get some food they shut the garage door locking her out. After I got home from work and noticed that she wasn't pregnant any more I asked her where her kittens were. She meowed at me and made me follow her by stopping if I didn't turn the right way and meowing at me. Til we came to the garage and she pawed at it and meowed very loudly. I knocked on the house door and explained what I thought had happened and they kept the door propped open after that till one day she finally let me take the kittens home. Shortly after that I found her in the box we built and her kittens trying to nurse on her but she had died. We hand nursed each of those kittens until we could give most of them away. Only one didn't make it. we had named him Iodot for Eye of the Tiger(the extra o just being so we could pronounce it) hence my yahoo ID

A dear friend of my mother's went to a family reunion, and for the first time left her cat (Trigger) at home. She asked a young male neighbor to come in to feed her each day. The first day this man walks in the house, he looks for the cat, but cant find her, so he goes in the kitchen to make her food. He is standing at the counter opening the can of cat food when he hears a "banshee" scream come from above and this cat jumped on his head from the refrigerator and latched herself to his skull. He had to get 6 stitches and the owner had to cancel her trip and pay a hospital bill. To this day she cannot get anyone to come in her house alone if Trigger is anywhere around.

I have a satanic transgendered cat...
No wait, before you dismiss me as a weirdo..I got a lovely black kitten from the paper (it was free) We called it Lucy, and it was such a sweet little thing. One day we discovered that it was not a girl kitten after all. (I don't know how we made that mistake!)
We felt pretty silly
Then it hurt it's eye, and we had to take it to the vet. Looking at the cat and hearing it's story..she renamed him Lucifer...
But Lucy has stuck, and we have trouble remembering that he is a boy cat. We call him "pretty girl"most of the time without even thinking. And he doesn't seem to mind..

The best story that i have is about my boyfriends cat at the time.We are married NOW.When i moved in with him he had a female cat named chris, she would attack me literally, chasing me around the house and scratching my ankles.I love animals so did not take it personally because she was his only girl and i was making her jealous.I began taking over a lot of care for her and now she basically ignores him and we have teamed up.She is so sweet but shes 15 years old now and is starting to have real problems getting around.I love her so much that i cant bear to think of putting her down or living with out her being around being her own sweet self.

when we first got our 2 boys we would close off all doors to them when we went to bed and when we weren't home. one night I was laying in bed almost alseep and I hear this mowing and I though there's M meowing again. I kinda laughed it off and started to fall asleep but listening to it more it didn't sound like his normal cute meows, something wasn't right so I got up and searched all over for him. he had snuck into the spare room with out my knowing. he wasn't in there very long.
There have been neumerous times that Oliver has gotten locked in the bathroom, we usually close off the bathroom to the boys but when we are in there if they want to they can come in. but there has been times that he has snuck in there and we didn't know it and he isn't too much of a meower so he just lays there till someone opens the door and then he comes out like nothing happend.
we have gotten to the point now that they are a little older (15 months) that if we are home we leave all doors open, we only close off the bathroom door at night and when we aren't home. we let them in the bedrooms at their demand because they would scratch under the door trying to dig their way in . figured it wasn't going to hurt anything to let them have access to the rooms it was going to cost us more not to.
