Yes
Too many times have I had customers walk out without tipping the shampoo tech. These girls/guys are the ones who actually get down and dirty and scrub your nasty heads. The least you can do is show a little gratitude and tip them 2-5$. Sometimes shampoo techs do all the work i.e. allpy the actual color and all the stylist does is blow it out in a stlye and people still have the nerve to not tip us. When we clearly did most of the work!

for just a shampoo, a buck or two, maybe $3 at nice salons, you should ALWAYS tip the shampoo girl if they don't give her a 'cut' of the stylist's tips. i would check with the establishment if shampoo girls are also allowed to recieve tips before you do that. u can ask when you make your appt over the phone to avoid an awkward face-to-face encounter.

My mom is a hairdresser--she is really good and makes a GREAT living. She tips her shampoo girl--not the customers. This is a way to insure everyone gets something.

Yes. It doesn't have to be a ton as usually the hair artists will give them some at the end of the day. It is appropriate to give a small amount to show your appreciation.

I am a hairstylist and I think that if you are at a high-end salon then yes you should tip her, but if not then I don't think so.

I never have.
I'm pretty sure when you tip your stylist that they give them some money.
