Same reason men repeat their mistakes with women. We are all human and imperfect and make mistakes. Some mistakes have more serious consequences than others. A good example is choosing the wrong marriage mate. For some reason we look for what we want and settle for what we find. That process sometimes results in bad relationships.

Sadly, it often is true that we are attracted to the same types of men over and over. I know in my heart I do not want to be hurt again but I also know I cannot have too nice of a guy. I know if he is too nice I will simply walk all over him and eventually hurt him because simply put, I can. I know that sounds awful but it's just the way it is for me. I can honestly say i have not let a relationship like that go on for over 15 yrs or so now. I also know that liking the not so nice guys is what gets me hurt everytime, so I guess maybe someday I will find the one that is a good combo of both and if not I am destined to be hurt again; aren't I ?

Most of the time its a pattern of learned behavior...we've been with so many bad guys, made the same mistakes over and over yet we can never seem to clear the fog enough to learn a lesson and work for something better.

Because after so many years, it gets comfortable.We want to change and talk of these changes.But we go back to the same type of men.For me its the alcoholics.They say they will change, but of course they don't.I'm wasting my life away on a person who is the greatest when sober.But when he is drunk hes an *** whole.I try to be understanding, but I'm getting older and it really bores me after awhile.Hell I feel like I'm his mom or something to that effect.I am intelligent and am not that bad looking for my age.I also always attract younger men.But I truly believe it happens because of comfort and because we know nothing else.Maybe no self worth about oneself.Hope this helps you in your question.

it would seem that most end up with what they deserve, most women are attracted to idiots anyway, thats why most men behave as they do, to get laid

because they don't give themselves time to heal. most of us jump into another relationship aft another finishes because we are scared of being unloved and we have low self-esteem at that moment.
