Depends on the type of bacon or sausage.
For me the bacon has to be thin cut, un-smoked and grilled not pan fried, not too much 'stringy' fat either.
The sausage would have to be quality too, with a high pork content not too much rusk or 'floor sweepings', maybe with a little sage to help the flavour.
But both must, yes must, be served with Daddies brown sauce, no, not the HP stuff, that's too fruity.

mmmm bacon buttie any day. The smell and juice and smokey taste is making my taste buds work overtime. Unfortunately I live in Greece and the bacon has a lot to left unsaid. I wish I could have a real English bacon buttie....... You lucky thing

Bacon, cos it is tastier and some people say that sausages (which take 15 mins to cook) are usually cooked ages before and just left to heat
