my boyfriend broke up with me yesterday and we go to the same school and i dont want to see him. But i have to give him his key back.

You could have a friend give it to him. Or you could mail it to him.
If he broke up with you be the better person. Walk up to him and give it to him. You aren't in 6th grade anymore where you have to act childish about it. Show that he hasn't hurt your pride and just give it to him.

Be the bigger person and give him back the key and a smile then just walk away. What's done is done and there's no point in trying to find ways to not run into each other. It's going to happen, plain and simple. It will show more character and self-respect if you act like there is nothing wrong. *and it gets to them fast that way too.*

Part of dating is learning to be mature. You'll have to be nice, walk up to him politlely and give him back his key. Unless you know he's going to "go off" on you, you should do this. Otherwise, have a third party give him a key.

You'll learn in life that you can't always avoid dealing with the people you don't want to deal with. Give him the key back, and just ignore him from there on out. Ignoring him will probably make him want you back anyway.

ah heck honey, just tape the key to his locker or if he has a car, tape it to the window, and when u get ready everyday, be sure to look the hottest u can so he knows what a good thing he's lost.
Laugh lots, but not too loud as it'll sound fake, i'm sure there are plenty of guys waiting for the chance to make u smile.

Mail it to him. If you're in high school, slip it in his locker when he's not around. That way you can avoid talking to him until the hurt has lessened. Sorry to hear about the breaking up. It truly sucks. Good Luck.
