Get them both some advantage or frontline. Your fleas will be gone in 24 hrs and won't return for a month. Fleas can cause all sorts of health problems, so you need to take them seriously, especially for a puppy. And you don't have to get a prescription from a vet. Just go to a feed store, they always sell it. And make sure you buy the right package according to the weight of your dog/puppy.

To keep your pup from getting fleas from his playmate, use one of the Once-a-month Topicals
Once-a-month topical insecticides are applied to a small area on your pet's back, are probably the easiest product to use, and generally last the longest. Some kill fleas and ticks, and others just kill fleas, so check the label carefully. Ingredients generally include permethrin, pyrethrin, or fipronil. Examples include Bio Spot, Advantage, K9 Advantix, Frontline Top Spot, Revolution, and Defend. Read the label as to which strength to buy.
I would suggest that you also ask your friend to put one of these products on his dog. It will prevent tapeworm in his dog as well as making him more comfortable.
By the way.......... what is a native/askal dog?????????????

The best thing to do is put frontline on both dogs to get rid of fleas on the dog that has fleas and keep the other dog from getting fleas. You can get frontline online or get it at the vet when you get your puppy its shots.

Try using flea and tick protection on both so you won't have to worry about that or other diseases.... cheaper than vet bills in the long run.
