I've had 3 kids and it's hard work ,but CAN be done.....it takes cardiovascular/aerobic exercise. It's the only way to burn the fat off!! Reduce your intake of sodas if you drink them alot...that really contributes to belly fat...start drinking more water. And walk, walk, walk. I gained 76 pounds over the course of my 3 pregnancies...I was so fat, so unhappy...after my last child, my son I decided to get serious and started doing just what I told you above....in a year and half I lost 70 pounds and now am trying to get the last 20 pounds or so gone. Pilates or any exercise that strengthens your core muscles is an excellent course...they help to train your muscles to pull everything in, giving you better posture and a much better appearance. Be patient, don't give up on yourself and be accountable for what you eat, drink and do. I've actually been a member of a free online weight loss site that is great. Members share tips about losing, diet and exercise ideas, tricks to lose weight and so much more. You might wanna join up....it's www.featherish.com Good luck losing!!

Try the following : do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.

Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read fitness magazines, like Shape and Fitness for motivation and tips.

Good luck and stick at it.

after 3 kids, you may have some fat but also some flabby and loose skin - maybe shown by stretch marks?
if its general weight gain, then daily exercise that leaves you out of breath can start you off in the right way. you'd need to do about 45 mins brisk walking a day and make sure you don't eat your evening meal too late ie b4 6.30 ish
hope this helps and good luck with the 3 kids!

I have 2 and its definately hard. Cardio works the best. Some think if you just do stomach excercises that it will slim that region down...doesnt work that way. Get lots of excercise a few times a week like walking, jogging, cycling (I have a recumbant bike), this while cutting out the junk food and making your proportions smaller at meal time. DRINK lots of water, this helps out a lot!

Once you get into a routine of cardio stuff then start on crunches/situps.
Make take some time but you will lose the weight! :)
Good luck

is it fat or lose skin??? because i know after my son, i didn't have fat. I had lose skin. it was like if a person got that surgery where it shrinks their stomach and they lose a large amount of weight in a short period of time and have baggs of skin hanging. if its fat your just going to have to diet, drink water, and do crunches, but if its loose skin. grab some vitaman e oil rub yourself down with it do some crunches, give it some time and your tummy should be back to its same ol same ol!!!

The same way you'd lose weight any other time.
Eat less. Exercise more.
