I have been married 2 before the man I am married to now. We met right after my 2nd divorce, and we dated for 1 1/2 before we got married. Understand I wasnt even looking for another man. I had two bad marriages before this one. I was abused both mentaly and physically. I have been married now for 14 wonderful years. He is my best friend, and my husband. I am his shadow and he is mine. We are always together. We can talk about anything. We have no secerts. When looking for a mate, make sure you two can talk about anything. Be his shadow and him be yours. Not saying you two will not need time apart once in awhile. But when you marry, you marry each other not your friends.

This is the question I am asking too.

Someone I respect told me I will have to first know what qualities I like to find in my mate and pray to God about him. I was also told to be as specific as possible.

The point here is to let God take charge and for me to be frank. The assurance and sign we look for come from God, so don't look somewhere else. And He will speak the ways we understand.

No one sends you a mate...you have to go out and find one. You cannot live your life sitting around waiting for things to find you. You have to get out there and start looking. You might fail a few times, but you'll learn good listens that will help you along in future relationships.

begin by realizing God gave you a brain (born with it) and you will likely seek out the person that appeals to you most, or who will likely produce an offspring more like yourself

it's in our genetic hardwiring

I'd check under the hood at least once to make sure no trips to Taewan or Bang kock so you won't be knocking with parts that don't fit for starters

but a good sense of humor, smarts, and sense of responsibility are good characteristics

but realize you already have so much from "god", until you get a Fed EX package from 'god' I doubt he - she - they "we" sent you anything....

all we know is to be a good steward of what you have and do your best

the rest happens on it's own...evolution and what we call life

that makes it sound too much like a petting zoo

i feel that every person that comes into our life , does so for a reason
i have had many people who did feel like a soul mate , but the relationship didnt last
i am now married to a man who tests me to the limits lol .. but i love him very much
the thing i think most people dont realise is that we dont have to have mr/mrs perfect to have our soul mate ... it could be someone that we least expect ... someone who brings us lessons .. someone who is a reflection of our negative aspects , in order that we may see what needs changing
so dont wait for mr/mrs right .. and dont wait for signs that God has sent someone for you
the person sent for you may be the one you let go because they didnt fit the bill

Hi!

Good question!

First, you need to be right standing with Jesus Christ...

After you received the Holy Spirit, you just allow yourself to let God make you meet him/her...it will not be forced...it will just flow....

THIS IS SIMPLY WHAT WE CALL "TRUSTING IN THE LORD"...

You simply trust God enough to join you and you spouse to be, you need not take much effort except for praying...

While you are waiting, work on your character, let it be more loving as Christ's...if for example, you have a problem of impatience, work(fast and prayer and pass tests of patience in your life) on it because it may obscure your ability to recognise him/her...The more you are deep in the Lord, the sharper your spiritual ears will be.

Hug!
