and is not charged with attempted murder. She kept the 13 & 9 yr olds home from school, which leads me to believe is was pre-meditated & drugged them & their 4 yr old brother. Her family said she knew what she was doing & she was trying to kill them. Why wouldnt she be charged with attempted murder?? Instead they are giving her on three counts each of corrupting another with drugs and contaminating food.

i am with you on this one! Anyone who knowingly harms an innocent child should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I think slow electrocution is the best answer for these f**king a**holes!

Any story involving harm, of any form, to a child, children, is horrible.
Every year we are plagued with one story or another about a parent drugging, or killing her children, and they all get away with the insane plea!!!
Are we not seeing a more common occurrence, are we not in agreement, that as long as courts are sympathetic, women who don't want to be a parent anymore are given a means of escape!! And then they get the temporary insane plea which comes with a menial sentence, thus the loss of life for a 10 year loony bin visit. And half these women get out and have more children!!!! It makes me sick!!
Sorry, don't mean to rant, but, if they don't want them, give them to someone else to raise, even family members will be more than happy, especially if the know the other alternative is death!!
I wish people would wise up, and start throwing the book at these women, maybe they would get fewer cases if they did!!

This is really sick!! The mother should most definetly be prosecuted to the full extent that the long can give. She knowingly tried to kill her children why would the justice system allow her to get away with this. I don't think that this is a first nor do I think it will be the last time we hear of a story like this. Our justice system is what's wrong with people today and always.

There are wackos out there. It doesn't help that that's all news reports. Who wants to hear about good news, right? I think she should get a tougher sentence to make an example out of that situation. The law should come down hard whenever children are involved.

What a sicko, but the thing that ticked me off in the story is the Mother in Law saying everyone knew she was going to do it cause she told everyone. Why the hell didn't they do something about it when she told them she was going to drug her kids!

Sounds like this lady was mentally ill. We have the worse justice system, not fair and too lazy to care. She should be put away, and drugged herself. It is not fair at all, those children were abused in my book. It makes me so mad to hear things like this, but what can be done????
