Chicken pox spreads quickly. Take all the kids to the pediatrician. Then if the older one has it, see if you can isolate him some kind of way until it's over. Or isolate the baby.

When I was 6 years old, I caught chicken pox from my 9 year old brother. We both shared our chicken pox and were both sick at the same time. Chicken pox does not have an age limit. A 6 week old little baby can get it, and a 35 year old adult can get it, because there are no age limits. Once you have had chicken pox you can NOT get it again. I suggest everyone go ahead and let their children get it, then they will be immune to it in the future. Chicken pox causes vomiting, dizziness, itchy red sores, etc. It's a normal disease that dang near everyone in the world gets.

Keep the 6 w/o in his/her room! Do not let him be exposed. CHicken pox travels through the air, so keep the 5 y/o as far away as you can. Even better get a friend to take the 6 w/o, who may very likely already be infected because pox is contagious long before it's visible. Call your pediatrician ASAP!

Oh my gosh I had the same thing happen to me. My four year old came down with the chicken pox when my newborn was 2 months old. I was frantic. But, it did work out. Here is what I did.
I kept them away from eachother.
I kept my hands clean and sanitized.
I used a separate sponge to clean the oldest dishes.
Just try to keep everything separated and keep the children apart and you will be alright mom, I was. It seems cruel, but it's the only safe thing you can do.

Well chicken pox is very contagious,so i understand not to mention i have 6 of my own not one of mine (14,12,6,5,4an,2) had it but that is because they all were vaccinated, yes there is a vaccine for chicken pox,but id say contact your pediatrician its the only way to know for sure if that truly is chicken pox and to ask what to do about keeping your 6 wk old safe from it.Hell know exactly what to do.PS.a friend

My 3 year old caught chicken pox when my baby was 2 months, the obvious happened and my baby caught it, it was quite a severe case, but she didn't scratch as much therefore she didn't scar. Speak to your doctor, if they have got it it will come out in about 2 weeks time, piriton syrup is good and calamine lotion, helps with the itching

I would be concerned about your 6 week old getting chicken pox. But the upside is he or she may not even get it, and if they do, it will be done and overwith.
I would call your pediatrician and see what he/she thinks you should do.
good luck you sound like you have your hands full. you should fine!!

Typically, chickenpox is a mild illness, but can affect some infants, teens, adults, and people with weak immune systems more severely. Some people can develop serious bacterial infections involving the skin, lungs, bones, joints, and the brain (encephalitis). Even kids with normal immune systems can occasionally develop complications, most commonly a skin infection near the blisters.

well I'm no doctor but I have had kids with the pox.I don't think the baby will get them being still under your immunities but my baby was about 8or 9 months old when all of her 4 sisters got them and she did get a few on her stomach but not really anything like they did.
