I like the large breeds. But I think my favorite is the Bouvier des Flandres. Then second is the Mastiff. I have had many large breeds including St. Barnard, several Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Black Labs.
I now have a medium size mutt and a small Min Pin.
My mutt has been the bast dog I have ever had.
He is 9 this year. I hope he lives a lot longer.

I love all dogs. I guess I'd have to say dachshunds are my favorite. They are very courageous, stubborn, comical, and ideal companions. He will follow you, love you and amuse you all day and every day. A born sportsman turns his nose to anything above ground. He will chase all birds, cats and dogs from his territory. He is courageous and will stand up for his rights against any foe, from behind a fence there is none braver. He comes in several sizes and coats. He is rugged and strong. He is at your side day and night and will warn you if any strangers are lurking about. He is affectionate and delights in riding in your car or sleeping in your bed next to you. A wonderful companion for children, will take a lot of rough play and enter into the spirit of fun. A born comedian. ONCE YOU OWN ONE YOU WILL NEVER BE WITHOUT ONE.
