I worked for a company that supplied nitrogen tanks and products to clinics that used nitrogen for cosmetic facial treatments.
Yes, nitrogen tanks are stored in hospital, clinics, even outside, all the time.
And, if you're talking about liquid nitrogen, you need to keep an eye on the level of product because each time you open the canister, there's product loss because it's boiling away, not evaporating.
