The man climbed the nearest tree to where the sign was to be placed. He crawled out on this big limb and put up the sign therefore staying off the grass..

Before the sign is erected, you can go on the grass. Once the man puts up the sign, he can read it and follow the instructions.

Park keeper had a carrier pidgeoen. He trained it to fly over the said bit of grass and pidge dropped it there. What a clever pidgeon, i wish he was mine....
