If you are lucky enough to survive nine months in the womb, you have about a 20% chance of dieing before your 2nd birthday (depending on where you where born). Now you are up against some heavy hitters like malaria, infection and viruses. Remenber the Black Death? He got about 45% of us on that one. Then just for fun He throws in earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves, floods, drought, and meteors. Let us not forget cancer, heart attacks, arthiritis, and one He must really enjoy Alzhiemers. Then after you have staggered throught the mine field of dangers, He brings out the ultimate weapon. Cellular degeneration. Trump card. You're dead. And I'm supposed to think He loves me? Talk about tough love. I don't know about you, but if I see Him coming, I'm crossing the street.

You are wise. We are obviously for his sick, sadistic entertainment, if he actually exists (Which, as an atheist, I don't believe).

Would you prefer to live on this earth for eternity. Man causes alot of these things by living in areas where high cancer rates occur, they promote disease by not washing and sterilizing food, medical instruments etc. Man causes accidents. Man chooses to affect other people with diseases and infection. God doesn't pull the trigger on guns, he doesn't run red lights, he doesn't bungee jump, he doesn't cause global warming - sure there are acts of nature and we need to pay attention to those - meaning if there is a known dangerous area for earthquakes then don't choose to live in that area. If there is a Tsunami - don't live on the coast - see man is responsible for a lot of what befalls us. God weeps right along beside us when something tragic happens. He also disciplines with tough love - like you said - has he gotten our attention, yet?

You just don't understand the process called the circle of life. Didn't you see The Lion King? Mustapha killed the father, not God. Man kills Man. etc. God doesn't step in until you pray for him. That's how he finds out who is deserving. So stop hating on God because you're only sealing your own fate. Be faithful or don't, but it's your fate that must endure the suffering or rewards. I know which way I'd like to go. Praise be to God. Don't be fools. Life isn't that long. Eternity is forever.

Most of the tragedies you list are results of what "fallen" people have done to this "fallen" world.

We would have Him intevene in a majestic way NOW, but it seems that He is letting people do it "their own way", as they clearly have let HIm know is their wish. The whole earth groans and labors, waiting for the Redemption.

When He acted in judgement, we had the Flood.

He provides us a way to escape Judgement, and to live in His perfect kingdom for ever ... where there will be no more sorrow, no more sin, no more disease, no more crying ....

You fail to remember that everything was perfect when he created us. When we sinned against him, all of creation suffered for it. Hence, volcanos, earthquakes, drought, etc. As for heart attacks, I firmly believe that 90% of them could be prevented with proper diet, exercise and smoking cessation. God gave us free will to choose either him, or ourselves. I think 70 years is a good long time for having a choice.

without life there can be no death and without death there can be no life. whatever is born will die. life is like a circle and each of us will in turn die to make way for a new generation. mankind has also brought on quite a lot of misery on himself and most of it because of the Religious Belief Systems along with wanting what the other people have.

Man chose this! God promises eternal life if we believe in Him. No more sickness, no more old age, no more sadness. Man would live in a perfect paradise.

But if you are crossing the street when He comes, you can expect, loneliness, sadness, gnashing of your teeth, thirst, hunger, fear.

You might want to rethink your position.

hi there, i think this is all a question that all of us will think some time in our lives and i mean everybody. but i think that is why we are all put here to experience every feeling that is imaginable to feel. to give us knowlege and understanding to encourage wisdom. but i do agree some times it can just be a bit much suffering. i fell though if you really beleive in god he will guide you in some way through your pain. hope you understand what im trying to say.

God has not come up with ways to destroy us. It is the devil that is out to destroy! God loves us that is why he sent his son Jesus to the cross to pay for man sin and to give us a chance of everlasting life.

of course nothing has to do with us a society... drinking, smoking , taking drugs , taking excessive medications , driving gas guzzling cars , not eating the right foods , additives in foods etc

i think sometimes we have to take a step back and stop blaming God when our world is falling apart .... no one is more to blame than mankind

He didn't, we did. Sin is what brings Death, and Man brought Sin into The World.
