I don't believe in this. It has no evidence and it's really weird.

Jesus was sent to Earth by God to die on the cross to pay the price for your and my sins. No Jesus did not want to die but was willing to fulfill the will of his father, that being God. The evidence that we have that shows that Jesus would have preferred not to die can be found in the Gospels were Jesus prays that if possible he would like God to set him free of the task. This was not Gods will so he went through with the painful death, afterall he told Pilate (the Roman govennor) that he could have called on angels to rescue him if he so wished.

Questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus (or even away from Jesus for that matter)are simply a waste of time. Ditto for being "saved" or trying to clarify minute points of scripture when there are so many different interpretations and editions of text. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. All the major world religions have issues like this.

Jesus knew that his days on earth were over. He still wanted to show that there was life after death. It was necessary to die in a public fashion so that his death was not in doubt , this way when he arose from out of the tomb his resurrection would be a clear fact. Crucifixion was simply the common means of capital punishment. Had it been today he would have been given lethal injection.

Read Matthew 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou [wilt].
~~~~~~~~~
Seems He didn't at first (who would!?!? especially knowing the gory details beforehand) but then ultimately He wanted what God wanted. So the last part shows that Jesus Christ chose it - He was not forced into it
In my opinion JESUS didn't want to die any more than any other mortal does. However, HE knew this was HIS destiny from the very beginning. this again in my opinion does not constitute suicide as no mortal is committing suicide as we are fulfilling the reason we are here on this plane of existence.
Jesus didn't want to die (would u) But he understood that in order to save us from our sins he had to - He understood that our life meant far more than death itself and so he understood what he had to do ( he knew that he was going to die but did not commit suicide because he didn't do it himself) He didn't do it to himself- He could have stopped it because he could have asked his father but he didn't do it for our sake.
He wanted too, it was the only way that we could be saved. As for suicide,He gave His life, he didn't kill Himself, we killed Him. He knew there was no other way. He defeated death in that He didn't remain in the grave.
We are worth a Son to God.
He could have come off that cross anytime He wanted but, He wanted to take our punishment.
He was born for the sole purpose of dying for our sins, but his human nature was revealed in the Garden of Gethsemane, when He prayed, "Father, let this cup pass from Me". He was fearful but he realized His mission and performed it with more love than any man could ever fathom!
I think, Jesus did not just want to die. He wanted to do God's will as it was unfolded to us in God's plan, and which, yes, included Jesus' death. (Heb 10:5-7)
