Find the source of moisture that is allowing mold growth. It could be too much humidity or it could be a leaking pipe or roof. Fix it!
Clean the moldy area with a 10% solution of bleach. If the surface is porous it may have to be replaced as sheetrock.
Paint the area with a sealer primer as Kilz,

See, my definition of "dealing with mould" is dealing with grumpy agenda filled people that lurk about on the homeschool section waiting for an opportunity to bash someone over the head with their hateful remarks.

Bleach is the best thing to use to kill mold. Make sure you have plenty of ventilation.
