The wages of sin is death. And no matter how much we try we human beings are sinful. We could not live a sinless life. And so we face death.
God came to earth as Jesus - fully God, yet fully human at the same time. He did not sin; yet he died - a sinner's death. He overcame death. He broke the spiritual law and opened the way for us sinful humans to be in the presence of God.
Why did God need to send Jesus? Well, he sent messenger after messenger after messenger in the past and we (we humans) ignored them and killed them. God thought that if he came himself we might listen.
The old covenant (as outlined by his messengers) is the Passover, where Jews will sacrifice a lamb for the forgiveness of our sins. In the new covenant Jesus takes the place of the lamb and personally made the sacrifice required to make us clean.

Here's the skinny. God can not die! He knows all. He saw that He was going to need a representative so that He could talk to us after we (Adam and Eve) had sinned. He knew that Lucifer was going to rebel, and that he would be the cause of our fall, so He begat His Son Michael, who latter became Jesus. He created us through His Son, to whom He gave all of His power, and His Spirit, so that through His Son He created us. His Son knew what was going to happen and He loved us so much that He VOLUNTEERED to be our anointed sacrifice! Yes God gave His Son, for without His permission the plan of salvation would not have gone forward. When we sin we brake the law of God, and it is to God that we owe our life. The only way to God is through His Son. Study the sanctuary Lev & Heb. Jesus is the Way (door), the Life (the life of God). For with out Jesus there can be no forgiveness of sin.

I love it when people ask such beautiful eye and mind opening questions like this. good and excellent question. knowledge is the only thing that is worthy to subside the fears. the more you know the less you fear. ask questions, do research, find your own truths.
to follow yours up, imagine that a creator, makes his creation with sin in the first place, that he makes everyone responsible for one man's sin (original sin every one suffers for Adam eating the apple) makes your whole body desire sin, then when its your time to die waits there so he can punish you. What is really interesting about that is that this same individual is called unconditionally loving. I'm sorry but the more and more i look at that, the more i don't see it as unconditionally loving, i can only see that as pure sadistic. pure evil. pure fear, pure jealousy, pure rage. any sadistic bastard would jump at a chance to do this to others. so how is it that we have such a sadistic creator? how is it that he insists that we call him unconditionally loving?
keep asking wonderful questions

On the contrary, God's love for us was so far-reaching, so deep and so profound, that sending His son was the only way. There must be a legal basis for forgiveness. Suppose the judicial system in your area just forgave the person who murdered your child because the murderer said "I'm sorry." Is that true forgiveness? More importantly, is that justice?
To God, forgiveness is important but it does not outweigh justice. In His wisdom, he handled things in the way which would allow his perfect justice to be met perfectly and at the same time provide the basis upon which his human creation could receive forgiveness. Jesus Christ was a perfect human being and so could buy back what Adam lost.

God wanted to forgive us... But he can't just forgive us...
Because God is perfect which means that his justice = his Love...
Then his love cannot be over his Justice...
God said in Romans 6:23 " For the wages of sin is death "
Then all the humans must be dead for their sins..
But God loves us all ..
Then the only solution is to get a sacrifice which is enough for all people..
There's no human without a sin.. then no one can sacrifice for even his brother because he has to pay for himself first..
The only solution is to get a man with no sin and that he can be sufficient for all people..
Jesus Christ -> Has no sin -> He's also God then he can pay for all people as he is an infinite god...
1st Peter 1:18-19 "18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot"
Hebrews 9:11-14 "11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?"

I guess, God know people very well, he needed an example to those who may doubt him.
Would you believe in God if the whole Jesus thing didnt happen?? Probably not. But.. then again, I think Jesus did all that on his own free will.. to "pay for our sins". What a nice guy huh...

God is a God of the law!
Only in blood can sin be removed!
He loves you yes, but he must judge you by the Law!
God can not forgive sin! It is ether removed from you through blood or you will die!

God loves us so much. He made us in His image. He gave us freedom. He let us decide for ourselves. We sin. THats what we always do. We sin. Yes, he could just have forgiven our sins. But He loves us more. He had to send His son to pave the way, to open our eyes, to lead us. Is there any greater love than that? i cant imagine. i hope ur asking because u wanted to learn the truth. theres nothing to be gained by asking impossible questions for the heck of it. we just have to wait till death. by then everything will be understood. faith is believing in things that u dont really have answers for but u just know through ur conscience that theyre right. keep searching for the light eventually ur effort will be rewarded.

Before Christ died on the cross, God required an animal sacrifice to cover sins. God is a holy God and sinful man could not approach God, So he sent his Son as a sacrifice for us so that we could come to him. Thats how much he loves us.

wow, you need to read the bible. God sent his only son to show people that it is possible to live life without sin. He proved that he didn't have to act like everyone else. You really need to check out the bible.
