they have to return to work when their money runs out or the 12 week family leave act is up? Most have jobs that they can't breat feed during work time and most companies are NOT sympathetic to this at all and expect her to be right back there at 100% and put the kid on EXPENSIVE formula that is not as healthy for your baby, in the USA it's NOT right, what are your thoughs on this? any new moms out there??

she works alone and cant leave her post. so a breast pump is not an option

I'm very glad not to be American. It seems that Americans are punished for having children. Most countries in the world do everything they can to encourage parents to have children. I have two daughters, both of whom I breastfed so that they could benefit from all the qualities of breast milk. I nursed 13 months and 15 months. When I couldn't be there to nurse my baby, I left expressed milk for her to be fed by bottle. I used the Avent system. The pump worked well, and you can pump directly into the bottle or into plastic bottle liners.

She could take bathroom breaks for 5 minutes at a time and use a breast pump. It's important to pump every so often so that she will keep producing milk. If she works alone, maybe she could pump at her desk. If none of these work, call the state's Department of Labor and see what they suggest her rights are.

You haven't heard of a breast pump??? Mom can pump the milk out to be fed to the baby when she isn't around. Mothers do it all of the time.

Most breast feeding moms pump and freeze milk to send with the baby when she cannot be with it to breast feed.

well,being am a grandma and we use the same tools you have a BREAST PUMP HONEY ti saves money,time and its healthy for your little lovie.Oh but be away take natural vitamins or you can become tired and cranky.good luck my dear you are raising are future.gob bless
