Heat on the area. I find a hot water bottle or just a cloth soaked in hot water helps. Good Luck

Well, firstly and obviously, the pain is a symptom and not the "disease" itself.
Another symptom you can easily check it the color of your sinus mucus. Just blow your nose and look to see the color. If it is a yellowish or greenish color then you have a sinus problem. Most likely an infection.
You need to deal with the cause of the disease and then the symptom will hopefully go away with a little treatment.
If you have an infection antibiotics always work the quickest.
Here in the US, or at least my Doctor, tends to recommend flushing of the sinuses with saline solution along with taking antibiotics. Drug stores carry these saline solutions. One that comes to mind is called Ocean. There are also many generic brands. You can also make the saline solution yourself. Just ask the Pharmacist or Doctor for the recipe.
Hope this helps but my best recommendation is to call your Doctor. Good luck

The chances are you may have a sinus infection for which you will need antibiotics from the gp, but in the meantime take painkillers regularly and steam inhalation and another thing you could do is wrap a hot water bottle in a towel and place over either side of the face it helps to loosen the congestion.

Long Term Relief:-
1. Take the strongest decongestant you can
2. Make sure you're not allergic to anything
3. Get a a plug-in vaporisor and put it on before you go to sleep
4. Avoid dairy but eat lots of bananas
Short Term Relief:
1. Apply pressure to the bridge of your nose by squeezing it with your fingers. Massage the arch under your eyebrows with pressure.

My sister has a similar problem, so I know it's agony when it flares up, you poor thing :-(
At different times, I've given her a massage around the area for a while, maybe 15 minutes - the part of her cheekbones under her eyes, the bit between her eyebrows etc - and she said she felt enormous relief. If you have a friend who can help you, or if you can do it yourself, it just might work.
Good luck, hope you get some rest :-)

As silly and simple as it sounds, I have been struggling with the same problem and Tylenol sinus seems to help until I get an infection and then I need antibiotics. Don't know if you can get that in the UK, hope you feel better.

I had sinus surgery and it greatly improved my quality of life; hopefully, you won't have to go to that extreme.
