2. Definitely.
Basically because they're my thoughts and opinions and not the askers(no.1), because I don't need people to give me a thumbs up its not the end of the world if I get a thumbs down (no 3) and as for others (no. 4)- what could they be?
I'll give an answer as long as I know I'm being fair and respectful. Mightn't work always but I try!

4. The truth.

If I'm answering a question on body piercing, (1.) I don't care if they wanna pierce themselves, I'm gonna speak against it for the sake of their personal health risks, whether they wanna hear it or not... (2.) It's not going to matter to them if I think a helix piercing is prettier than a tragus, their own mind is made up when it comes to opinions [unless, of course, they're asking for opinions ^_^]... and (3.) going with the flow is a bad thing, especially if people generally think it's okay to get a cartiliage piercing done with a piercing gun.

Such guidelines rule all my answers, that the truth prevail above all else, no matter what the topic of the question is, be it body piercing, religion, friendships, health, or what not.

Going to have to go with #2. I have no way of knowing what they want to hear. I could careless about thumbs up since that isn't going to help me in anyway. I can only really answer from my own experience or my personal beliefs.

It differs according to the questions as some times I don't want a certain answer as I want people to think a little in the point I'm asking. And sometimes I really wan't to find an answer for a question I don't know its answer...And sometimes I only want someone who just shares the same thought or opinion with me.

4. Others

I would prefer to answer according to the truth "as it is in Jesus" (Eph 4:21) because I know of no other truth that can answer the human need for all kinds of answers. Now, I regret that my thoughts (option "2") are not always His thoughts, but again, this is an every-moment battle a Christian has to fight in order to transform through the renewing of his mind according to the image of his Lord Jesus. (Rom 12:2)
