I will answer this even though I doubt that you will read anything that does't agree with your point of view.
The war in Iraq is helping to stabilize the region and we are fighting Al Quada there. If they are busy trying to push us out of Iraq then they don't have the time or resource available to attack us at home. And I will tell you that anything that keeps them away from my family is a good thing. I enlisted for exactly that reason.
Everyone here keeps saying "listen to the news and they will tell you what is really going on" Oh PLEASE they only tell you what they want you to hear which is a bunch of left wing b.s. Maybe you should talk to some people who have actually been there and then you might get a better understanding.
Did anyone ever think that maybe the Democrats are using the stink about the war to cover up their mistakes?

For anyone interested in 9/11, the war in Iraq, etc., check out this website: http://www.wanttoknow.info/9-11timeline6...
Its a timeline of events surrounding 9/11 from the 70's to the present. Each entry is referenced by actual articles in the main stream news media. No theories just facts. Excellent reading.

Iraq did not do 9-11, but they did sponsor much other terrorism.
The roots of the current conflict have their origin in Saddams attempt to seize control of a large part of our oil supply. Do you enjoy being able to heat your house in the winter? Do you like having food shipped to your local supermarket year round? Saddam tried to prevent that in his 1990 invasion. His non-compliance with the cease-fire accords was the prime reason for resumption of hostilities.
That says, the Army/Marines/Nave/Air Force are fighting Al Queada and similar baddies in Iraq NOW. This does have a direct impact on your freedom.
If these nuts were not occupied with trying to fight the finest military in the world, they would be over here bombing bus stops and supermarkets, just like they do in Israel.

Terrorist bombed us once, don't you think if we pulled out it will give them more power to do so??
If were to pull out of iraq, that will make them feel good about themselves and they'll obviously think that we are wussies and they will most likely bomb us again. But we are also helping the innocent people over there in Iraq, and many soldiers say it feels good being appreciated for what they do over there. The Army/Marines/Navy/Air Force are all fighting for our freedom. We won't have to worry about being attacked. You really want to get in an airplane having to worry if something bad is gonna happen?? i don't think so. Thanks to our Military, they will make that go away. Support Our Troops!!!

There have been zero terrorist attacks in the U.S. since 9-11 and if Clinton had done his job that would not have happened. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan has kept the terrorists off ballance. Lets keep it that way. On to Iran.

in fact you are true to the bone. Iraq and the war on Iraq is nothing but another smoke screen that was meant to cover up what really happened and what really caused 9/11 .
you know , keep us busy with a war rather know the truth . it is nothing but a big fat distraction. and a way to expand .

Yeah, but that is only something your president is brain washing you with, so you think that the war is for a good cause. So, NO, there not fighting for your freedom, there fighting to gain control of the oil Fields.

It's not and the American people need to wake up and realize our government lies to us for their own selfish purposes. If anything we have lost alot of our freedoms. We cannot even get on a plane without getting patted down nor do we have the freedom to bring shaving cream on the plane??!! If we speak against the war then we are considered unpatriotic, freedom of speech is gone. Watching five minutes of National news brings everything to perspective. SAD.

I'll be watching this one for the answers...I'm sure we'll see plenty of twisted, brainwashed logic and revisionist history to justify how the Iraq fighting protects my freedom.
The Iraq fighting threatens my kids freedom more than anything else.

How right you are. Do you know in the rubble that is now Afghanstan because of all the US bombings, the head line read: Free choice for the people of Afghanistan and went on to talk about the opening of the Cocal Cola factory there. Gross!
