Yes, Catholics pray (talk) to saints.

But Catholics do not worship saints.

Catholics share the belief in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including the Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopal, and Methodist Churches.

The Communion of Saints is the belief where all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When you die and go to heaven, you do not leave this family.

Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints, you, me, my deceased grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mother Teresa.

As part of this family, you may ask your family and friends here on earth to pray for you. Or, you may also ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Andrew, or your deceased grandmother in heaven to pray for you.

Prayer to saints in heaven is simple communication, not worship.

With love in Christ.

Not being a Catholic I can't say other than that's what I understand they do. However, I believe many are nowadays more enlightened, realising that we are unable to communicate with the dead. All of us as Christians pray to Jesus because he's still alive.

I was with a group visiting a Scottish Church in Jerusalem, and the Minister told us, "Ye'll nae find any grrrraven images herrre"!
That's a bit of fun and not meant to insult Catholics, with whom I share a common Creed.

God said there will be no other Gods' before him. Catholics pray to Mary. I don't agree with that, and I am not catholic. Catholics pray to Mary and not in the name of Jesus. Bible says the only way for God to hear you is to pray to him in his son's name.

*thinks back to sunday school* I know there are prayers that deal with saints, but I think it is all simbolic and not actually praying to them, simply a religious chant
