The Cat or The Mattress ?? :-)

Yuikes.

Wash it as well as you can with a wet cloth and detergent (or, if the matterss is removable, under a water jet). Then, when dry, try some of the chemicals like Pee-Be-Gone or Urine-Be-Gone or whatever they give you at the pet store. If they work for cat smell... it should work for human smell, which is far weaker.

Hang it on the washing line. Give it a good blast with a jet washer.

P.S. Just burn the mattress

get some nature's miracle at the pet store, it's a white bottle with red lettering. get the one that is for cats. spray that on where your cat peed and let it sit for a little bit maybe 10 mins then wipe it up.

mop up excess with a dry towel. then go to the pet store. there are many cleaners that don't just get rid of the smell, but discourages them from doing it again too.
