Please, believe in God if you feel so, but don't delegate to anyone the right to tell you what God is like and what He wants from you.
All religions are interest is in your vote or your money! Be brave, be strong, be yourself. Don't let anybody take advantage of your good faith.

What caused misery to the world is not religion but greed and intolerance. Don't tell me that people who didn't believe in religions were good people and never made mistakes or you will be fooling yourself. True religious people withdraw their desires and greed and can tolerate other people so the world becomes a peaceful place but what happens is that nobody understands his religion or tolerate other peoples' thoughts and cultures beside the unlimited desire of getting everyting you can from any source whatever you harm others or not.

if by religions you mean Christians, I know of no misery we cause. A church building has to have funds to pay the electric and water bill, gas bill, maintenance, pastor's pay check, Sunday School books, etc. No one is pressured to give. People give freely from their heart. Our pastor is actually almost poor. We give away clothes, shoes, school supplies, dolls and teddy bears for the nursing home, we keep groceries on hand in case anyone hungry stops by for help. We give gas money to the needy, buy prescriptions when needed, etc.

The misery is caused by men,but there is so much good God has done in the world, it out weighs the bad every time. It is called Hope, that keeps man for striving for good in this world.

That only proofs that religions are of the Devil - each and every one of them. (Not the individuals in persé, but the system - The people are only blinded by traditions of the forefathers and need to escape)
One Word off the Truth and you are anti-Christ.
The question is "Where is the Truth"? since all religions have the Bible screwed up with their own interpretation - that`s why they fight each other.
Don`t you think this world needs a Prophet from God to restore all things back to what it was before sin came in ... I have news for you - God will only restore His own ... the rest will determine their own destruction by following their own mindsets.
Christianity is not a religion - It`s a Life in Christ - separated from sin (religion, paganism, atheism, etc)
Christians live by the power of Faith - Religions live by the power of Money
Your action on Truth will determine your destination ...

The LACK of religion in peoples lives is what causes them misery.
You blame too much sorrow and grief on religion or religious people and your mistrust and blame is misguided
Faith based ops do a tremendous amount of good in this world

I thought Scientist believe there is No God, so wouldn't some of the misery be natural disaster?

You are aptly describing what the Bible refers to as "Babylon the Great" at Rev 17:1-5 FALSE religion, those that claim to represent God but who teach their own teachings rather than God's teachings. And you are right to say GET Out! Matt.7:21-23 tells us "Not everyone saying to me Lord,Lord, will enter into the Kingdom of the Heavens, but the one DOING the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me int that day, Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform powerful works in your name? And yet I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me you workers of lawlessness." So as we can see THERE will be those who claim to be worshiping God but yet he does NOT approve of their form of worship...Now it is important to find out WHY! And who's form of worship is acceptable...

People cause misery, not institutions. Institutions are ideas, not living, breathing things. It is people that bring them to life----without people, they do not exist. If you must hate, then hate people----at least your hate will be focused in the right direction.
