It is doing this because you are enter the information as a "number" rather than as "text". I am assuming that this is an order number or something and you will not be doing calculations based on it. If that is true, click on the cell, go to format and change it to a text cell. Then the leading zeros will stay there. Or type the number in with an ' in front of it, like '003004. The ' will automatically convert whatever follows it into text.

If you do need the 003004 to remain a number so you can do calculations, then you will need to format the cell by setting a mask that tells it to display 6 digits, even if the number is shorted than that. Click on the cell, then select Format from the menu, go to custom, and make the type 000000. That will make it always display six digits in that cell.

you can format each cell as text alternatively you can just typr the ' key before you type the number, this tells EXCELL that it is dealling with a text number and your zeros will stay (the ' key is the same key as the @ on an English keyboard)

You have to format the cells that have leading "0" as text.

Or

You can start your number with a '

'003004

give it a try

there is no longer plenty you're able to do approximately this. you may attempt to opt for the text cloth, reproduction and paste it into excel, or reproduction and paste a picture, yet there is no longer a competent way of importing from PDF to excel.

Have you tried putting the numbers from the right end instead of left beginning?

Format> cells> text.
Your numbers will appear as you type them. But I don't believe they can be calculated.

right click on the column and tell excel that the column is a text field. It will stop losing your start zeros.
