my ex and i broke up and it wasn't a nice parting. I said harsh words and he didn't respond. I texted him to say that I was angry then but for all it's worth, we did have some good times. Things are over n we move on. I told him he will always have a special place in my heart and asked him to take care of himself. Did I do a stupid thing?

i just feel stupid. I don't wish him to think i want a patch-up and am using this as an excuse to contact him. Ii don't and i am moving on. just needed to let him know, no hard feelings.

we all say bad things when we are mad and each person should know this. If you guys decided to move on, you should only wish each other well and for the sake of memories, keep a good friendship, not bitterness. This is from my own experience and trust me, you did the natural thing.

I have sent post break up messages when I thought my relationship was over with my (now) husband as my form of closure, so I dont think you did a stupid thing and since you can not change the past, there is no use in feeling regret. But leave well enough alone by not doing it again. It may seem tempting especially if/when you begin to miss what you had with him. Because it may make matters worst if he is still upset at the harsh words you said prior to the text. If you really are done with him, leave it and him alone.

As long as that is the final text, I think. What you did probably made you feel a bit better and if that is the case, then who is to say it is wrong. Just try to move on from this point. Texting him anymore will probably only irritate him and cause you more heartache in the future. Hang in there, it does get better!

No that wasn't stupid. If things ended on a bad note and you wanted to end them on a positive one instead then you are doing just that. Being kind to someone is never stupid.

No you didn't do a stupid thing. You just said what was in your heart and you were just finding closure so you could move one with ease. Don't expect a response from him though.

Quite maturely said for the post break-up msg. Definitely not stupid unless you didn't want to break up.

i admire the way it quite person-friendly to respond to persons courting questions, yet then once you have your guy or woman it is so confusing to appreciate what to do. (examine my profile and my questions) LoL. in any case, i think of that he probable left you for somebody else, and that did not prove how he had initially planned, and he's staring at you to be the rebound, via fact he already is accustomed to you and particular knew which you will possibly talk with him, which you probably did. i think of finally you're in hassle-free terms going to get harm in this occasion. i might recommend not speaking with him in any way any further. desire this permits!

Don't worry about it anymore. It's not a stupid thing to do.
Just don't initiate anything again. Be strong. =)

You did it just right. Relationship should not end quarrrels, you can still meet in life to be of help to each other in one way or the other.
