Let the girlfriend go...she'll get over it, I did and I was a wife. It took my ex years to leave me, due to him feeling the obligation of family. Don't live a lie, and remember...
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day
Then go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what the Man has to say
For it isn't a mans father, mother or wife
Whose judgement upon him must pass
The fellow whose verdict counts most in his life
Is the man staring back from the glass
He's the fellow to please, never mind all the rest
For he's with you clear up to the end
And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test
If the Man in the glass is your friend
You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years
And get pats on the back as you pass
But your final reward will be heartache and tears
If you've cheated the Man in the glass.

Honestly speaking, you should just break up with your current girlfriend since this is no longer love but an obligation to stay with her.
You need the basis of love to continue the relationship, being together but not loving her makes u an irresponsible jerk.
Before becoming the irresponsible and hateful jerk to your current girlfriend, break up with her for good, then you can embark on a new relationship for all you want and no one can call you a jerk.
Good luck!

Although I think its pretty crappy that you have allowed yourself to get close enough to someone while you have a girlfriend. but Life is too short to be unhappy. Next to infatuation, Love is the best feeling in the world. I don't think anyone should deny themselves of the feeling. No matter with who how or why. Just fall in love as many times as possible and Make you life worth living. I hater cheater but Be true to yourself because in the end You are the only thing that matters

YOu should be with someone that you love, not out of obligation. It will hurt your gf, but she'll get over it in time. You need to do what makes you happy. Good luck.

You can not be in love with somebody and you are still feel obligated to another person. I will advise that you decide which one you want to be with and stop being selfish.

I would say love comes first. You have the obligation of being nice to her, not stick with her forever against your deeper feelings.

why would you want to be in a relationship which you know is a lie.. if you love another person, then isnt that a big enough clue for you to end your current relationship? don't fool yourself or ur current girlfriend. do the right thing. tell her it's over..

No doubt it can be emotional but you have to tell your current GF anyway. And I think sooner is better.
