If this copy of XP is one you bought, or one that came with the system when you bought it, contact the Microsoft Activation line. They will ask you a couple of questions and then provide an activation key for you. If you did not purchase the copy of XP, or it didn't come with system then you will have to buy a new copy of XP.

If this is a desktop then look on the side panel.. you will see a product key there... they usually do not paste it on the cd disc.. Or best if your computer is still under warranty just call up dell helpline or chat with one of their support represeantative i am sure they will ship you a cd free.

if it's not the same computer then microsoft wont let you re-use that product ID. It detects information about your hardware and if it's not the same hardware it wont let you activate it. It also will only let you activate 3 times without having to call someone.
