Because it's proof that they are wrong.

Religion is mostly just a way to control the masses. The ones in charge change the rules and the 'truth' over time to adapt to a better educated population, but science enlightens faster then they can manufacture new 'truths' and still come off as believable.

Get a book on the methods used to brainwash people and you'll see a lot of the techniques used by most religions.

Religion has rarely been about enlightening man, it's been about controlling him. Science is the enemy of religion. Ignorant people are much easier to control.

Most religious leaders were much more secure when mankind still thought monsters lurked in the dark and that only prayers could protect you. The fact that they could and did torture people to death to make them 'repent' was a major tool. If you didn't fear the dark you faked it or died.

It's well documented that it doesn't work. It is based on false assumptions and is never consistent.
They date things that they know the age of and it doesn't produce the correct age. Usually it is off by a large percentage...sometimes 500%. It is never close. So why is it assumed to work on things we don't know the age of?
When they first invented the dating method, they estimated that if you had a new earth, the level of C-14 would reach equilibrium in the atmosphere after 30,000 years.
Since they assumed that the earth was older than 30,000 years, they disregarded that factor.
However, recent studies showed that the atmosphere has not yet reached equilibrium. IT IS STILL INCREASING. Which means, that if there was less C-14 thousands of years ago, there was less to absorb. Which would give you drastically older dates if you were going by today's levels.
In fact, the entire process is evidence that the earth is less than 30,000 years old since the C-14 in the atmosphere has not reached equilibrium.

Dinosaurs did exist. They have been created on the 5th day. the particularly some small dinosaurs could have been on the Ark. however the great ones have been too risky to stay with mankind. each imaginative day became a minimum of 6,000 years long by utilising the way. Radio Carbon relationship is like utilising a clock with one hand. this technique assumes that carbon distribution keeps to be an identical for the period of the years. It does no longer. under no circumstances has. many distinctive events have altered the quantity of radio carbon released on particular events. incredibly the flood.

I think your question is on the wrong premise. Is that really Creationist philosophy? Of course they believe in RCD, because it's a fact. Christian belief, generally, is that man is a unique creation of God and did not evolve from a monkey or what-have-you. Agreed, he probably looked different at some stage, but he's always been man "made in God's image" we are told - that surely means "in the nature of God", and unfortunately we have long since abandoned much of His nature.

Advocates of Creation as an account of ultimate origins does not commit its members to any idea other than that matter and life did not come into being by an unguided purposeless cause.

From there you might have Young-earth Creationism and other varieties.

The same reason that religious people reject evolution. Not one inconsistency has ever been discovered to discredit the theory of evolution yet the minds of religious fundamentalists are shut firm. Nothing retards intellectual development more than religious indoctrination.

Big Bang, evolution, carbon dating, archaeology, NASA discoveries... are not truth, they are only instruments to seek for truth.
Don't blindly believe any religions or any scientific discoveries, and please don't blindly criticize people who believe.
