Can anyone tell me more about the Cakewalk software?

Yep, I own it. I got it after Midi Orchestrator & Acid Pro, and it was a step up. I got it before Cubase, which is better in my opinion, but also more expensive. I still use all of them, as well as a few other things. Used properly, you can get studio grade results from it. It gives you the basic tools you'd find in a recording studio- recording, editing, mixing, and mastering for multiple tracks.

I found it very easy to use.
