Try a good multi-vitamin. Get more exercise.. You also will need more protein in your diet, fish, chicken, peanutbutter...

It's not certain foods. Anything natural and made without chemicals, fats, preservatives, non-nurtritive sweeteners, or that has been fried.

Memory loss, weakness, fainting, being worn out; these are all symptoms that are common in malnourished/underfed people. You need three square meals and probably two snacks. Make sure you're eating enough. There is no one magic food (I wish) that can turn your problems around. It'll be a few months before you're really back to normal (assuming this is not an eating disorder), but hang in there (impossible as it sounds), things come full circle. You need good foods in moderation. Not eating right (amount or what the actual food is), not sleeping, stress; those are probably why you're feeling like this. I know where you are (metaphorically; emotionally) and it would be in your definite best interest to turn things around RIGHT NOW, before it gets any worse, which trust me, it can.
Oh, the question. Healthy diet. Natural. Fruits and veggies, yeah, you didn't want to hear that. Protein, fish are good, nuts too. Lean meats. Whole grains. Get more iron, zinc and calcium in your diet. Potassium too. Go out and get some sunshine (for mood). Example:
Breakfast: whole grain toast, strawberries, milk. Yougurt, cereal, hard boiled egg.
Lunch: green leaf salad with cucumbers and chicken (a couple ounces), milk or juice (orange, apple or v8 are yummy). Whole grain sandwich with cheese, ham/chicken/turkey, fresh fruit, juice, yougurt or something you like.
Dinner: a protein entree with some veggies (pork and green beans are easy to start with), possibly some bread, fruit or milk. Stews like cabbage and lean ground beef with tomato sauce are easy to start with, or some soups (try something Italian, there's one with turkey sausage and peppers). Have milk with dinner.
Snacks: homemade trail mix, nuts, seeds, crackers (triscuit are nice, goldfish if you have to).
Those are examples, improvise, have fun. Feel better. It takes time. Lots. Your mind swings around and your moods will start to look up as your body refeeds itself.

Lady dazy, sounds like you are at a loss. I think that i was very simular to you in the way that i felt. So much so that I went ot the doctor and had a few tests done to ensure that i wasnt suffering from anything.
I eventually took the advice from my girlfriend and went to a homeopathic doctor you put me through a series of tests which i actually thought were nonsense. BUT. After he sat me down and told me what my body was alergic to and just intollerant to.
So i knew already, but i have done my best to stop eating over a period of two months all that i am certainly allergic to and most of what i am intolerant to.
These things include, Beef, spinache, mushrooms, rice, pasta, bread, so as you can see its difficult.
I have felt so much better. I train about 2 hours a day and my cv and weight training is high yet i have always been more tired than people around me. Now I feel good when i wake up and all throughout the day...should have done it years ago. This can only benefit you, and only costs you £30. Go for it , Good luck

Oily fish- salmon, mackerel etc.

Red, green and yellow peppers/ capsicums

Spinach, carrots, ANY and as much green veg as possible.

Garlic, Basil, Coriander, Ginger.

Nuts, lentils, aduki beans, kidney beans, black eyed peas (the bean not the band!).

Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, oranges, kiwi fruit, bananas.

The simple rule is to look for fruit and veg which is a brightly coloured and fresh. Have as much variety as possible.

Avoid all processed food and try to prepare all your food yourself so you know exactly what's in it.

Cut out refined sugar. If you must add sugar to tea or coffee, try using demarera brown sugar.

You MUST eat breakfast in the first hour of waking up or your body will go in to storage mode and you will feel exhausted all day.

Allow yourself 9 hours to sleep every day, then you'll wake up naturally after 8.

If you smoke - stop. I stopped a couple of months ago and it's the best thing I ever did.

You really sound like you need to get some rest and de-stress yourself

First, you need a whole new diet.

Then you need to relax, rest and sleep as much as possible.

As for the diet, I would suggest:

1. Avoid junk food

2. Avoid dairy.

3. Have three meals a day, no snacks in between.

4. One fruit snack is tolerable, though, in the afternoon, if you are hungry. Eat fresh fruit (an apple, a pear, grapes, strawberries), one kind at a time.

5. Include in every meal an animal protein (eggs for breakfast, meat or fish for lunch and dinner).

6. Chew well and take a siesta.

These are the basics. Hope this helps you.

energy food such as mixed nuts, not roasted or salted just natural ones. Also tuna-fish helps increase energy levels.

Of the fruit, I have found bananas work best to energy boosts. Try mixing fruit smoothies for energy lifts too

Also try your local health shop like the Health Rack or Holland and Barrett for vitamins. Keep off fried food and potatoes and crisps.

Good Luck

Start taking ginseng.

"In terms of modern scientific research, ginseng is known to be an adaptogen. Adaptogens are substances that assist the body to restore itself to health and work without side effects even if the recommended dose is widely exceeded. Ginseng due to its adaptogens effects is widely used to lower cholesterol, increase energy and endurance, reduce fatique and effects of stress and prevent infections. "

Start taking vitamin B6.

"Vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxine, helps brain function and helps the body convert protein to energy. Some research has shown that vitamin B6 works with folic acid and B12 to reduce levels of homocysteine (an amino acid) in the blood. Elevated homocysteine levels can increase a person's risk of heart attack."

I think that as far as food goes, you need to up your daily intake of protein. You can achieve this by eating things like tuna, beef jerky, or if you don't prefer meat, protein shakes. (I am a vegetarian, so I naturally don't have too much protein in my diet, so I bought protein shake poweder at Costco and just add a scoop to 5 oz of water and I get over 50% of my recommended daily intake of protein. I love it!)

Here is a small list of protein high foods:

Common protein rich foods can include:

Milk
Soy Milk
Eggs
Cheese
Yogurt
Peanut Butter
Lean Meats, Fish, and Poultry
Beans, Tofu, Lentils, and other Legumes
Grains, including bread and pasta
Nuts and Seeds

Good luck with getting over your fatigue.

Well, when I'm weak from normally alcoholic wastage, I normally go for cornflakes, bananas and raw eggs. Or if I can stand them, boiled eggs and dippies.
