Your priest or church has been really remiss in teaching you Christian theology. I can't understand how you could have grown up in a so called Christian church and know absolutely nothing about the God you worship.
God is the God of both Israel and Christianity. We do not worship some other God then the Jews do. There is only one God but He has shown Himself to exist as three, co-equal persons. This is not three gods but one God with three persona's. Each of them is an individual but exactly as equal, powerful, and knowledgeable as the others. Jesus is one of these "persona's". He came to earth to be the Messiah or the one who delivers His people from their sins. He was born, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and was raised in three days. He was raised from the dead to demonstrate His power over the grave, sin, and death. He also demonstrated that He was God and that He is the only God capable of conquering death itself. No other god has done this and no other god can save people from their sins.
Jesus said that He was the only intermediary between God and men. He said that all men are sinners and in need of a way of cleansing themselves of their sins so God could accept them as His own. Jesus said that believing on Him and calling on His name as the only savior of mankind was the only way to obtain this cleansing. He said that without this cleansing God must turn His back on you and cause you to exist, permanently and forever, apart from Him. This separation would be catastrophic because of the unbearable pain caused by the eternal separation from God, the only source of comfort and peace.
However, God's death on the cross created a way to obtain a relationship with God that couldn't be earned. God will give us freedom from our sins and a relationship with Him for free, just for the asking. Jesus has already paid everything that needs to be paid in order to obtain this gift. "But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--it is by grace you have been saved......For by grace you are saved through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not of works, so no one can boast." Ephesians 2:4&8,9

Jesus is the Son of God. He was born of a woman and was a man. You have heard of God the Father God the son and God the Holy Spirit. This is one God made up of 3 divine persons.
Think of it as you would yourself or your father - he is a son of someone, the husband of someone and the father of someone.
one person 3 titles. Thre is only one God. He may have been called the god of Israel and also the messiah. Still only 1 person though.

as a Catholic you should know about the Trinity. God the Father, Jesus the son, and the Holy Spirit. They are 3 in 1. Jesus sys I and the Father are 1.
You pray it at the end of each prayer. Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen

Read John 1. "In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Through him everything was made... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us."

Duuuuuuuuude....
The Word=Jesus=God. They are the same

So, you are right in a way. God is God. And Jesus is Messiah. You left one thing out, though: Jesus is God.

You have it right. God is the Father. Jesus is the Messiah. Despite what most Christians think, they aren't some kind of mythology dragon with two heads. They are separate beings. If you're Catholic, go along with it, but know inside yourself that it's not true.

In the bible, you learn Gods name and that Jesus is Gods son. In Psalms 83:18 it says "that men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art most high over all the earth." KJV John 3:16 says God loved the world so much he sent his only begotten Son.
Some say John 1:1 proves Jesus is God but notice it says the Word was with God, so if he's God he can't be with himself. When it says the Word was a god it's describing a quality. Jesus is godlike in that he shares his Fathers beliefs and qualities, John 5:19 supports that. Finally Phillipians 2:5,6 makes it clear that Jesus is not equal to Jehovah God. It says "Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God." NWT The KJV says thought it not robbery to be equal with God. So there is only one God.

I think The GOD of Israel Is The same one GOD we have been talking about. Jesus is the son Of GOD, GOD's son who some beleive is GOD but had to take Human form to walk among us....GOD's True form is Blinding...God of the Bible Is The God of Israel..the Jews are his chosen people ( Jesus was not white ) and any one else on earth who receives him and beleives the bible is also welcome to be his chosen people.

the bible says that there is only one God and and we we must worship him with all our hearts and with all our beings, Jesus is the Son of God who came to die for us, He died on the cross for us, so that we could have a relationship with God which was broken by the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, after Jesus died He rose again from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God and His wounds plead for us day and night, He is our intercessor, Saviour, priest, friend, He is all in all everything in the bible, speaks of Him from the beginning to the end of the bible, although the bible says that there is only one God and he is the only one we should worship, God is three in one Father son and Holy Spirit, it's a mystery, but God is so wonderful to know, and as He accepts us as we are, then we should accept Him as He is our Lord and Saviour.
