about 5 inches so that they will blend well with the extensions.

I would think just long enough to attach the extentions really.

a few inches enougth to attatch the hair to and to cover the extentions

about 5/6 inches,
remember they can and do have a thinning effect on your own hair.

no i dont but i now of this girl that had them and when she was in bed with her boyfriend who never new they were doing it doggy and he pulled them out when pulling her head back so be carefull
