2 years ago i travelled through srilanka, india and pakistan and this is my story. most men in these countries are nothing but leeches who think that a white woman is a sex toy. buses i travelled in were filled with people who smelled of sweat, loud ear splitting music, and men who were fondling me all the while. these men on purpose were leaning on me in the bus and poking their dirty hands through my t shirt , legs and even my pantie.
on yahoo Q/A i always read of people bragging about the kindness and spirituality of people of the east, but i find it very hard to believe that now. most men in the east are nothing but crude and dirty.
why do they behave like this towards white women? would these men do this to their sisters or mothers?
Are these men uneducated, stupid or just crude?

Well I think they are affected by the image that the western media is giving about white women. So they consider all white women as the women they were seeing in the media.
Another thing I'd to say that the kindness and spirituality of people of the east is a truth but it is clearly noticed in other places rather than buses and markets.... Those people do not care to go the cities and to get buses...etc
And yes... those people you had the bad experience with were uneducated and stupied ones and unfortunately they affected you to NOT seeing the good ones in the east.

I am truly sorry that you had such a horrid experience. Hope that is the last one ever.
I am not justifying those men, they would rot in hell, but do you think it is fair to judge more than 2 billion people based on 1 experience. I am being very harsh, but it would be like saying all men a rapist just because there are a few of such devils around.
Just wanted to let you know that I was born in India and have lived there for 26 years, my entire family is still there. It's not all that bad. Its just like any other place.

Eeewww! Sounds very unpleasant and disgusting. Who knows how they treat their mothers and sisters!
It does bite, but I still try not to use blanket statements on people, even though certain cultures and places may breed more incivility than others.
I have known some very unsavory people as you mentioned, yet I have also known some very respectful men and women who left those places.
I am sorry that you or anybody has had to endure such disrespect anywhere in the world!

It's all in the teaching from when they were children. It's the way their fathers treated their mother's and so shall the tale go on. This is called sociology and we all have it in some way shape or form. Except, white people are far more evolved and I don't mean to sound racial.
