well actually even i used to cry...but then i realised that when i let ppl say mean things to me, i am undermining my self worth and respect...
so i started retaliating and eventually stopped crying...
i donno whether this will help u or not...but try not to listen to them ....we have two ears for taking in from one ear and letting it out from the other...
all the best..

Next time someone says something bad about you, just tell them something like "I don't have to listen to this" and walk away. You don't have to stand and listen while someone is talking down to you and eventually they will realise that unless they speak politely you want nothing with them. Yet such a small move puts you in control of the situation and your self esteem should go up.
As for the actual crying, you can 'train' yourself not to, though it probably is healthier to do so.

Sorry! same thing happens to me and i feel stupid afterwards. When someone says bad mean things to you try to focus on something else and stop repeating the bad stuff it worsens the situation.Talking to someone helps but you will still end up crying. which is not bad it is better than keeping everything bottled up then one day when you are unaware it all comes out.

It's difficult to keep yourself from crying. I have found that holding my breath and thinking of anything else is usually a temporary solution. If you are crying more frequently then you think is normal for you, you may want to check with your doctor to see if you have a hormone imbalance or seek professional counseling with a therapist.

I was like that... but I learned that it wasnt going to solve it and that they would just do it again just to make me cry so then I just decided that they werent worth my tears and started to toughen up...i used to be the type of person if someone would tell me somehting i would just put my head down ...I had to go through alot of dramatic crap to realize that I didnt have to be treated like that. So I think you should just clear your mind and decide if you still want them treat you like that or not. observe other people and maybe you learn from them how they handle it. It took a while for me to toughen up but like I said i went through really rough emotional stuff. So Goodluck!

Think about the problem which you have overcome earlier. or Keep saying yourself that, I am very confident about myself, I have lot of energy with me, I can get the internal power to tackle any situation which will come to me.

Just think one sec, you won't cry.
Remember people not born to cry, we born to love each other and enjoy the life.

Just think that they say what they are and it doesn't touch you anyway.
I was just like you in the past. But by practicing I got a very good skills to overcome the bad feeling from what others said to me.
I started with a belief that they have their owm reasons to say what they said and these reasons weren't related to me.

some people just have a different thresh hold for emotion. Since you see this a a negative I will counter with a positive. I think you just have a big heart which lets you feel so much.

You did not know your credibility. You have to think your are special. Nobody is created like you. Even any one says anything you will not going to be affected because what is in you is not in them that is why they say or do, because they did not know about you. You are perfect in the eyes of God, created in an unique way.
