diffination of a scanner,advantages and disadvantages and it is expensive?

Scanners are quite cheap...scanning can be time consuming,but some programms let you play around with the images.
Old photographs can be re-coloured etc...They are good fun to play around with, and putting all ur pics on the computer.

Copy documents of pictures into a program on you computer. They are cheap, and the only disadvantage is a cheap scanner might cause some graininess in the copy.

a scanner scans - that's about it - and scanners are cheap - better to buy a printer/scanner/copier though - multifunctional and not much more expensive than just the scanner. Me, I have an HP.

You don't state what type of scanner, is it a scanner for documents or a scanner for scanning radio frequencies.

it is an input device from which images from the scanners deck are being developed by means of a lens (filament).

adavantages- they are useful for capturing images and being stored in a computer.

disadvantages- scanners are not portable devices

and no it is not expensive
