I would get a Yellow Fever Vaccine, a Typhoid Vaccine and a Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (DPT) booster before going. I would also bring along antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin in case you get bad diarrhea. The key when you go to a place where you aren't sure about sanitation is to only drink purified bottled water and only eat fruit that has not been cut. Wash it yourself first before cutting it. Often, food workers (not connected with big resorts) wash fruits and vegetables in water that is unfit for drinking. Oh yes, also bring along mosquito repellent and use it every day.
