Are you a single parent?? If so, that's the issue. They know it's hard to have a family care plan for that many children and that they're alot of responsibility.

If you're married, the problem would be the income level. If you just now join with that many children, it would be hard for you to support them. Base pay for newbies isn't much for a family that size. You don't get extra money based on each child.

Good luck and thanks for your willingness to serve from and Army wife!!

P.S. Go to a recruiter and see if he's willing to give you some sort of waiver. It's possible they'd be willing as long as you signed something knowing the situation.

Not sure what you are asking, but it shouldn't matter how many kids you have, if you wanna serve your country in these days in time you are a hero in my eyes, just like my husband who serves in for the Navy, and he says he has never herd of such a thing! Good Luck!!!!! And May God Bless You!!!!!!

No, why? It's a family decision, you won't be around a whole lot. That's up to you. Personally, I got out of the Army to start a family because I did'nt want to move around alot and be constantly away from my children.

Because you will be starting at the lowest payscale, and believe me, you will be lucky to support yourself, let alone a family. The Navy knows the hardships and the waste of time it causes, thus they just do not want to have it happen.

I looked, but couldn't find anything other than the following Link. My BnL is an Officer in the Navy, and I can ask him the next time hear from him, if you want....But I can't promise it will be anytime soon....

The military has dealt with many of those issues in the past that people came in the military already with kids then there family care plan did not work out or they couldn`t provided one.
And then its up to them to figure it out and you know they wanna get their use out of you and with 4 kids they probably don`t see that they will.

I think you are referring to having to give custody of your children to a family member while you go through your training. This is so someone can take responsibility of your children while you are gone.
