I am proposing there be 52 women and men who come to this agreement: Each woman would live with a man for 6 months and then move to be with another man for a period of 6 months. At the end of 26 years the women would be sent out to graze and be replaced by new younger women. Women would get to see 52 places all over the world and men would always have fresh women. The men would always be on their best behaviour and the women would not have enought time to learn to constantly criticize

This is thinking from your little head rather than the one over your shoulders.
Marriage is not only for procreating but it is a solution for travelling through life with a companion.
Companionship is the most sought after commodity in this world, some of us may differ while prioritizing but eventually, what you have done, achieved, felt, endured, imagined and thought needs support and appreciation. Emptiness cannot be filled with money, professional excellence and/or any other worldly achievement. Why do you need to sleep peacefully, sleep is sleep, you could do that while commuting or any other place wherever you are not moving or doing anything else.
Second of all, you under estimate greatly the role that women play in our lives. Now my opinion might be considered some liberals to be anti-feminist -no harm is intended here.
The sweetness in your life, the softness in your eyes, the colors of light everything and anything. The most powerful creation of nature. It is the pivot of a social system, the strength of moral fiber.
Imagine when you have had the most rotten day in your life, you are unsure of yourself and you go see the love of your life -she smiles, lets you in, offloads your worries -while you know what you are giving her could be bullshit and she knows it, yet she smiles, accepts and recharges you to get it right the next time.
A simple fact of life, nature chose a woman to bring another life -that includes you too, how can you be so thoughtless to natures partner in miracles.
She creates and you follow, there is no other way -you may like to think otherwise though.

It will be very difficult in older age for the person with many many women or men in the younger age. No one will be ready to help in the old age. They will long for peace. The conscience will put them down forever.The only way is God.
