Go to Australian websites - government ones about immigration - and ones listing job opportunities.

There is plenty of help out there!

Congratulations on making the decision to move to Oz with your family!

I'm happy to answer your questions but you haven't made it easy on me! I need to know a few things - how old are you, if you are over 18 have you been in full-time education since you turned 18 and what visas are your family migrating to Australia on?

The easiest ways for you to migrate are:

1) Be included on your family's application (depending on your answers above this may or may not be possible)
2) Get a working holiday visa - you will need to be 18-30 and a citizen of UK, Canada, Ireland, etc... US CITIZENS DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THIS VISA.
3) Get a company in Australia to sponsor you - YOu will need to be highly skilled; 3 years skilled work experience or a university degree are a minimum.
4) If all else fails you can try for a student visa

I hope this is of some assistance, best of luck!

Hey!
It was just announced that there is an approx. 4 year waiting list to migrate to Australia and that there introducing an English test.
However it is a major advantage to be a skilled migrant, espacially labourers, doctors, nurses, etc.

Do you have any special skills? Doctors, nurses, engineers are actively encouraged to come to Australia.

If you have a lot of money it helps. But if you aren't wealthy, or specially skilled, you will find it pretty impossible to get here. Legally, anyway.

If you are not local, you are really impossible find the job here unless you get extra skill.

Besides doctor, nurse, engine..., cookery, hairdresser also will make you find job easily.
