My neighbor is an elderly woman, who has asked that I help with cleaning , shopping, errands, how much do I charge for say vacuming 2 rooms and washing the floors ? How much do I charge to go shopping ? She has money, and I don`t mind doing these things, I just don`t want to overcharge her

You could ask her what she's willing to pay. You could also find out how much other people get for these same services in your community and then you could charge her that or charge her less if you're feeling charitable. There are different rates in different areas of the country. I saw people mentioning $10 an hour in the other answers. I clean houses here in my community and the going rate is $20 an hour. I have one really large house that I get $30 an hour for. You really should find out what is the normal rate in your area.

$20 an hour and if errands run longer, you add on according to the amount of time it took... if it took another hour to run these errands then another $20.oo... This goes for mowing lawn... We charge $20 for the job...but if it goes over 2 hours we charge more!

At least minimum wage - not more than $10 an hour. Or you could do it for free out of the kindness of your heart.

Housecleaners generally get $10 an hour. Probably shoot a little under that.

ask for twenty dollars and hour. She probably wants to be generous to you. Depends partly on her pension(s) and what not.
