It is the generic equivalent of Tylenol #3, a mild narcotic pain reliever. The codeine will diminish the pain for which it was prescibed, and will also suppress the cough reflex. It may also make you slightly drowsy.

A few people are allergic to codeine.

Do not take this pill unless it was prescribed to you by a doctor, and by all means, do not drive or operate heavy equipment while under the influence of any narcotics. This pill contains about 1/2 grain of the narcotic codeine.

This is a mild pain reliever the apap is tylenol with a small amount of codiene added. If you have not taken this med before realize you could have an allergic reaction to the codiene:ie- rash fever- sore throat- swelling of the throat, and intense itching. If these things occur call your dr. right away and discontinue use until u talk with the dr.
