Its an allergic reaction to something she ate or was in contact with...Hives...
Keep an eye on her for any breathing trouble, and if she doesn't have trouble breathing, she will be fine til morning..
Even if she is fine in the morning, she needs to have the vet prescribe a med she can take in case it happens again, and if there IS breathing trouble next time.

Allergic reaction or just something like insect bites or whatever. If the dog isn't acting weird (whining, scratching the bumps, breathing weird, not calming down, etc.) I would save the money and wait for the appointment. If anything sees out of ordinary, find a 24 hour animal hospital if you care enough about it.

I have a pit bull to and she has those bumps and I took her to the vet and got her tested and they told me that she had a hereditary skin mite (which is pretty much mange) if her hair starts falling out that's probably what it is. I'd take her to the vet and if it is a skin mite they will put her on a medicine called ivomec and it will clear up but when she gets stressed out they will come back.

I agree it could be an allergic reaction; however, if she is not acting funny then I would give her a dose of dimatapp and wait to see the vet in the morning. The last time my dog had allergic reaction they told me to give her a tsp of the dimatapp.

It might be due to sunburn from overheating. DId you take her outside under the sun for long period of time recently? My little dog had it happened to her once when we took her to a dog park on one hot summer day for about 1 hour and she got the bumps all over her back. It became better after taking cool bath and keep her under shade with cool air. Good luck!
