No not what you were thinking... People say its best to eat small amounts of food often (little and often) to speed up your metabolism. My question is what sort of foods should you eat and how long between should you eat something else? Can you give me examples please? Thank you.

I nibble on fruit, raw veg, sometimes crisps...during the day and then have a meal at night...I think you can nibble on anything in moderation.
If you have frequent but small meals it keeps a steady level of sugar,so preventing the large falls in sugar levels during the day.
It works for me and I know everything I've eaten during the day,I'm a healthy 8.5st

Ive never been on a diet in my life. My weight has always stayed the same around 8 stone. You have to educate your body and it will get use to it. You can snack every 2-3 hours, fruit, a few biscuits, yoghurt. But make sure you have breakfast and a meal in the evening. You dont need to have a lunch if you are not hungry, its a myth about having 3 meals a day. Eat when you are hungry, everything in moderation and you will be fine. People who diet, eat crap in the first place, remember you are what you eat.

The only advice I can give you is eat when you feel like eating, and eat only what you like. Make a list of what you like, then try experimenting putting ingredients together to make a tasty meal.
Always try to avoid frying. You can get great results by cooking in the oven, or steaming. A tasty snack I have are bacon butties, bacon of course cooked in the oven on foil. I also buy cheese spread in tubes. This way if feeling peckish while watching television, I put some on an un-buttered slice of bread, and eat away. Try to ensure you get plenty of nutrition, eat healthy, and you should be fine. Hope this helps.

I'm a grazer... so I tend to graze food throughout the day... but you do have to be careful that you are grazing on the right stuff... I tend to eat loads of nuts, salad/raw veg, and fruit on the whole throughout the day and have a meal at night... I don't have time for breakfast normally... so the grazing thing works for me and I never feel hungry.

eat anything you like as long as you take the time to recognise each mouthful, put your fork/sandwich/whatever down between bites so you take the time to chew, this gives the brain time to recognise when you are full. Read the Paul McKenna book

1 portion of protein, 1 portion of carbohydrates, and 2 of the 6 meals you eat should have a portion of vegetables. a portion is the size of your fist, eat 4 hours apart.
